Connections

As believers at WEBC, we seek to connect to God, connect to Grow, and connect to Serve. All three of these are critical as we “run with endurance the race God has set before us!” (Hebrews 12:1)
Why You Believe What You Believe

I was raised in a Christian home. My parents prioritized having my brothers and me in church each week, and I attended a Christian school up until 8th grade. I can’t remember a time during my childhood where I did not have a Christian influence. As a result, the gospel message was very familiar to me. This is certainly not everyone’s experience, and it comes with its own challenges. But nevertheless, it was my experience.
Mission: Philippines – almost there!

And just like that, it’s Mission: Philippines time already! On May 28th, twenty-one (21) team members will embark on the long plane trip to Masinloc, Philippines.
Real Hope

I love Easter.
Growing up in the 60’s in a Pastor’s home, Easter was always an exciting time for us. Often my sisters got new dresses, and my brother and I got new suits to wear to church. There was, of course, candy involved. And I loved the sunrise services. We held them outdoors in the cemetery that was adjacent to the church building. There is something about gathering outside, early in the morning, with my church family, that I still treasure.
Mission: Philippines – we’re excited!

We’re getting so excited about our mission trip to the Philippines this spring! Tickets have been purchased, we’re working on in-country lodging, our missionary partners are preparing our “do-lists,” and our 21-person mission team is working on seeking partners to help pray and support each one in this inspiring endeavor!
I Became a Minister

“I Became a Minister” is the testimony of Paul to the Christians in Colossae. It is easy to look at the life and letters of Paul and recognize that he was clearly a minister (diakonos). I am grateful for the “ministers” that God has placed in my life, especially my Dad.
