And just like that, it’s Mission: Philippines time already! On May 28th, twenty-one (21) team members will embark on the long plane trip to Masinloc, Philippines. The team is looking forward to serving our mission partners in Masinloc and other nearby villages, as well as having time to enjoy Christian fellowship in a different country with different customs and languages, but the same Almighty God!
The WEBC Prayer Team has written a 40 day Prayer Calendar specifically for this mission trip. It begins on May 1st and continues daily through the month into June and after our team returns. You will have a time of prayer for our mission partners and each team member through the 40 days. You can pick up a copy of the Prayer Calendar in the welcome area at church, or email us at info@webcgreenville.org to request your copy and we will email you a printable copy. Additionally, on Sunday, May 18th at 6:30 p.m. we are having a special church-wide prayer meeting for Mission: Philippines. Please join us and pray over our team members as a church family.
Matthew 18:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We’re still accepting financial donations for the trip right up until we leave. TOYS for the Filipino children will be collected at the church throughout the month of May! We’re looking for small toys that can fit in your hand. We will pack extra suitcases with these. Good toys to bring would be Matchbox Cars or Hot Wheels, small dolls, stuffed animals, hacky sacks, barrettes, jacks, etc. Please bring them to church on Sunday or to the church office during the week.
